Isu Penundaan Pemilu Dinilai Melenceng dari Tujuan Awal

Politik – Wacana penundaan Pemilu 2024 terus bergulir di tengah masyarakat. Hanya saja saat ini diskursus publik lebih didominasi isu politik daripada isu ekonomi yang menjadi titik awal munculnya usulan penundaan Pemilu 2024.

“Isu tunda pemilu telah berbelok dari subtansi awal kenapa isu dikemukakan oleh Cak Imin (Ketua Umum DPP PKB Abdul Muhaimin Iskandar). Publik lebih asyik membahas pelanggengan oligarki, siapa aktor yang bermain, dan isu tarik menarik politik lainnya daripada membahas tentang dampak Pemilu terhadap recovery ekonomi setelah dua tahun dihantam oleh Pandemi Covid-19,” ujar Direktur Eksekutif Kajian Politik Nusantara (KPN) Miftahul Adib dalam diskusi serial yang diselenggarakan lembaga kajian Rupakata Nusantara di channel NU TV, Senin 4 April 2002.

Dia menjelaskan diskursus tentang dampak penundaan Pemilu secara politik memang sah-sah saja dilakukan. Kendati demikian harusnya pembahasan lebih detail tentang pentingnya stabilitas politik dalam upaya recovery ekonomi juga harus dilakukan. Dengan demikian publik bisa mengkaji usulan penundaan Pemilu dengan kepala dingin.

“Kalau berhitung Pemilu di 2024, biasanya setahun menjelang pemilu para pemangku kebijakan, legislatif maupun eksekutif, sudah tidak efektif dan tidak terfokus pada perbaikan ekonomi. Meskipun memang diakui pemilu memberikan efek juga pada pertumbuhan ekonomi, tapi kan itu ibaratnya hanya efek samping. Bukan hal utama yang dituju dan memang diupayakan sebagai recovery ekonomi,” katanya.

Adib mengungkapkan, perhelatan politik pasti memunculkan berbagai dampak besar termasuk pada proses pembangunan ekonomi. Menurutnya Pemilu tidak bisa hanya dibaca pada proses pencoblosannya saja, tetapi juga persaingan dalam proses pencalonan, proses pemenangan, hingga konsolidasi kekuatan setelah kemenangan diraih.

“Kalau satu tahun sebelum tahun pemilu, 2023 misalnya, semua terfokus pada pemenangan politik dan kemudian satu tahun lagi pasca pemilu untuk konsolidasi, maka ada potensi sekitar 3 tahun yang tidak efektif untuk perbaikan pertumbuhan ekonomi ini,” terangnya lagi.

Dampak Ekonomi
Berbagai dampak ekonomi inilah, kata Adib yang harus dikaji lebih dalam terkait isu penundaan Pemilu 2024. Jika perlu pakar ekonomi bisa memberikan angka-angka terkait dampak Pemilu dalam proses recovery ekonomi pasca Covid-19.

“Harus dipertimbangkan juga apakah memang ada unsur kedaruratan dari sisi ekonomi akibat Covid-19 selama dua tahun terakhir ini, sehingga memang dibutuhkan langkah terobosan agar proses recovery ekonomi layak untuk dilakukan,” katanya.

Adib mengatakan usul penundaan pemilu adalah hal biasa sebagai konsekuensi demokrasi. Setiap masyarakat apalagi ketua partai politik sah-sah untuk mengajukan usulan dan pandangan terkait apa yang terbaik bagi bangsa ini. Bahkan jika harus mengubah konstitusi. “Konstitusi itu bukan kitab suci jadi sah-sah saja diubah jika memang dibutuhkan untuk kepentingan bangsa dan negara,” katanya.

Memang isu penundaan Pemilu, kata Adib merupakan isu kontroversial. Kendati demikian isu ini tetap layak dipertimbangkan menjadi diskursus publik.

“Meski isu ini kontroversial tetapi tetap populis karena merupakan bagian dari aspirasi masyarakat. Makanya ada kelompok pro-kontra di isu ini. Keberanian Cak Imin menjadi penggagas pertama usulan ini tak terlepas kepiawaiannya membaca situasi dan kekhasan figurnya sebagai politisi kancil. Ia berpijak sebagai penyampai aspirasi sekalipun akan dibully, tapi disaat bersamaan sekaligus menjadi leading isu hingga bisa mempengaruhi parpo-parpol lain,” pungkasnya.
