Seputar Nusantara – Survei Ikatan Ahli Perencanaan (IAP) Indonesia yang memberikan status Samarinda sebagai Kota Layak Huni dipertanyakan.

Pertanyaan ini datang dari Ketua Komisi III DPRD Samarinda, Angkasa Jaya Djoerani.

Menurutnya penilaian tersebut bisa saja bersifat subjektif. Karena hingga saat ini sejumlah masalah masih terjadi di Samarinda.

“Banjir salah satunya. Itu kan sampai sekarang masih sering terjadi di Samarinda,” terang politisi PDI Perjuangan ini.

Ia menjelaskan bahwa sampai saat ini pihaknya belum mengetahui parameter apa yang digunakan untuk menilai Samarinda sebagai Kota Layak Huni. Karena menurutnya, sebagai Kota Layak Huni, harusnya masyarakat yang hidup di daerah tersebut sejahtera, dan merasa tenang.

“Kalau kita mau tanya, masyarakat yang tinggal di Samarinda ini apakan tenang saat hujan deras. Karena sebagian kan ada yang rumahnya masih tergenang air, atau mobilitasnya di jalan terganggu karena genangan air. Jadi saya sendiri masih mempertanyakan,” bebernya.

Namun demikian penilaian suatu lembaga yang menyematkan Samarinda sebagai kota layak huni patut untuk dihargai.
“Tapi okelah kalau itu suatu penghargaan karena ada lembaga yang menilainya ya kita hargai juga,” pungkasnya. (adv)
