Bantu Maksimalkan Peran Guru BK, Rusman Yaqub Sarankan Disdikbud Kaltik Bangun Klinik Konseling
Seputar Nusantara – Rusman Yaqub, Anggota Komisi IV DPRD Kaltim, mengaku prihatin soal ketersediaan guru bimbingan konseling (BK) seluruh sekolah di Bumi Mulawarman.
Menurut Rusmad Yaqub, guru BK di satuan pendidikan dinilai tidak memadai dan tidak mendapat dukungan optimal.
Hal itu terbahas dalam rapat dengar pendapat (RDP) terkait eksistensi profesi bimbingan konseling dalam upaya pembangunan Indonesia bersama Dinas Pendidikan dan Kebudayaan Kaltim dan Asosiasi Bimbingan Konseling Indonesia (ABKIN) Samarinda.
Kondisi di SMK 15 Samarinda, guru BK hanya berjumlah lima orang, sementara siswa yang harus ditangani mencapai ribuan.
Hal serupa juga terjadi di SMP Negeri 2 Samarinda, yang hanya memiliki dua orang guru BK.
“Belum lagi kondisi ruang konseling yang kurang proporsional, seperti di SMK Negeri 15, ruangannya cuma 2,5 x 4 meter, kurang memadai untuk menangani ribuan siswa,” kata Rusman Yaqub.
Rusman juga menyayangkan persepsi guru lain terhadap guru BK, yang seolah-olah semua problematika siswa harus ditangani oleh BK.
Padahal, seharusnya setiap guru mata pelajaran juga bisa membantu menyelesaikan masalah siswa.
“Di sisi lain, kami menyadari bahwa problem sosial siswa saat ini semakin bervariasi dan kompleks,” ucap Rusman.
Oleh karena itu, ia mengusulkan agar ada semacam klinik konseling yang langsung dikelola oleh dinas pendidikan, sehingga ada masalah-masalah krusial yang memang tidak bisa ditangani oleh satuan pendidikan, maka bisa dirujuk ke klinik tersebut.
“Saya berharap melalui RDP ini, bisa ada solusi dan rekomendasi untuk meningkatkan eksistensi profesi bimbingan konseling di Kaltim,” harapnya.
Rusman menambahkan akan memasukkan usulan tersebut sebagai bagian dari item tersendiri dalam revisi Peraturan Daerah (Perda ) Pengelolaan Pendidikan.
“Terinspirasi juga dalam persoalan ini, kami melakukan revisi Perda pengelolaan pendidikan. Ada poin tersendiri, misalnya satuan pendidikan harus wajib punya ruang konseling,” tegasnya. (adv)
