Kembalikan Jadi Hutan Tropis, Presiden Jokowi Pimpin Penanaman Pohon di Lokasi Sumbu Kebangsaan IKN
Seputar Nusantara – Presiden Joko Widodo dalam kunjungannya di Ibu Kota Nusantara, turut melakukan penanaman bibit pohon Meranti Tembaga di Lokasi Penataan Sumbu Kebangsaan IKN.
Penanaman pohon ini dalam rangka pemulihan lingkungan dan upaya mitigasi perubahan iklim di IKN.
“Penanaman untuk mendukung terselenggaranya forest city,” kata Presiden Jokowi.
Menteri LHK Siti Nurbaya Bakar menjelaskan penanaman dilaksanakan di lokasi Sumbu Kebangsaan dan lokasi RHL KLHK.
Menurut Siti Nurbaya Bakar, Kementerian LHK telah melakukan penanaman pada tahun 2022 seluas 1.314 Ha dan tahun 2023 seluas 500 Ha dengan jenis bibit endemik dan native lokal Kalimantan.
Mulai Belangeran, Laban, Puspa, Tengkawang, Nyatoh, jambu-jambuan, Agathis, Ulin, Nyamplung, Binuang Laki, Tabebuya, dan Neranti Tembaga.
Pada lokasi sumbu kebangsaan dilaksanakan penanaman jenis estetik, fast growing dan endemic Kalimantan melalui pola sisipan tanaman diantara instant tree Kementerian PUPR.
“Akan ditanam 119 batang tanaman sisipan dengan luasan sekitar 1,5 Ha. Jumlah peserta yang mengikuti kegiatan penanaman di Plasa Ceremony berjumlah sekitar 200 orang,” ungkapnya.
Presiden Jokowi sebelumnya telah menyampaikan harapannya terkait penghijauan di IKN, dengan keyakinan bahwa hutan tropis yang berkembang di kawasan tersebut akan berdampak positif pada lingkungan hidup di luar IKN.
Penanaman di lokasi RHL, seluas 1.814 hektar dalam tahap II, melibatkan jenis pohon endemik dan natif lokal Kalimantan.
“Direncanakan ttahun 2024 kegiatan RHL seluas 500 Ha dengan jumlah bibit total 312.500 batang dengan berbagai jenis tanaman merupakan fast growing dan endemic di kawasan IKN,” tegas Presiden Jokowi. (*)
