Ketua DPRD Samarinda, Sugiyono bersama Walikota Samarinda Andi Harun melakukan peresmian media center di kantor DPRD Samarinda.
Peresmian ruangan media center ini dilakukan usai melaksanakan rapat paripurna dan memperingati HUT Samarinda yang ke-354 di basement gedung DPRD Samarinda.
Ruangan media center tersebut diresmikan dengan adanya pemotongan pita. Ruangan ini juga difasilitasi dengan tiga set komputer serta meja dan kursi untuk wartawan singgah atau membuat berita.
Sugiyono menjelaskan,adanya ruangan media center akan memudahkan bagi wartawan untuk mendapatkan informasi penting mengenai kegiatan dan agenda DPRD Samarinda.
“Jadi wartawan hanya tinggal menunggu di tempat itu saja, juga sebagai wadah untuk teman-teman media mendapatkan informasi tentang kegiatan DPRD,” ungkap Sugiyono.
Selain itu, media center ini akan menjadi tempat penyebarluasan informasi mengenai DPRD Samarinda dan untuk mengetahui bahwa DPRD mempunyai peran penting untuk pembangunan yang strategis di kota Samarinda.
