Seputar Nusantara – Akhmed Reza Fachlecvi, Ketua Komisi IV DPRD Kaltim, mengapresiasi penetapan Raperda Pengarusutamaan Gender (PUG) menjadi perda.

Reza sapaan akrabnya mengatakan penyetaraan gender jadi salah satu aspek penting dalam pembangunan.

Dirinya memaparkan Kaltim memiliki banyak perempuan yang menduduki posisi dan jabatan penting di berbagai sektor, termasuk pejabat eksekutif dan legislatif.

“Terbukti banyak perempuan yang memegang posisi dan jabatan penting di Kaltim. Mulai dari pejabat eksekutif maupun legislatif,” kata Reza, Rabu (8/11/2023).

Reza menegaskan perda ini bukan muncul sebagai respons terhadap ketidaksetaraan gender, karena di Kaltim, kesetaraan gender sudah berlangsung sangat baik.

Banyak perusahaan besar, seperti perusahaan tambang, perusahaan sawit, dan perkantoran lainnya, sudah memiliki praktik kesetaraan gender yang baik.

Raperda ini bertujuan untuk memperkuat dan memperluas upaya yang telah dilakukan sejauh ini.

Dengan begitu, pembangunan di Kaltim akan semakin didukung oleh perspektif gender di semua sektor.

Terutama, karena Kaltim akan menjadi ibu kota Nusantara, pembangunan berbasis perspektif gender akan menjadi semakin penting di semua bidang.

“Jadi raperda ini bukan untuk ketidaksetaraan gender melainkan memperkuat apa yang sudah jalan selama ini dan pasti akan berpengaruh semakin positif dalam pembangunan di Kaltim,” tegasnya. (adv)
