Maswedi Sampaikan Sejumlah Catatan Pelaksanaan PPDB 2023
Seputar Nusantara – Pelaksanaan Penerimaan Peserta Didik Baru (PPDB) untuk tahun ajaran 2023/2024 mendapat apresiasi dari ANggota Komisi IV DPRD Samarinda, Maswedi.
Menurutnya penerapan sistem zonasi beberapa tahun ini, telah berhasil meminimalisir pola pikir orang tua akan keberadaan sekolah yang dianggap lebih unggul dibanding sekolah lain.
“Meskipun persepsi sekolah unggulan belum bisa hilang sepenuhnya di kalangan masyarakat. Namun setiap tahunnya, secara perlahan orangtua mulai paham,” sebut dia.
Kepada pemerintah daerah, dalam hal ini Dinas Pendidikan dan Kebudayaan (Disdikbud) Samarinda, Maswedi meminta untuk lebih memaksimalkan upaya untuk memberikan pemahaman kepada orangtua siswa. Bahwa, saat ini semua sekolah sama, dan tidak ada lagi sekolah yang lebih unggul, dibandingkan dengan sekolah lain.
“Waktu perpisahan sekolah, atau seremonial kelulusan, semestinya pemerintah bisa menyampaikan ke orang tua. Jadi ketika memasuki tahap PPDB, orangtua bisa mempertimbangkan sekolah mana yang dituju untuk anak-anak mereka,” lanjutnya.
Untuk informasi, di tahun 2023 ini ada 15 ribu siswa yang lulus dari jenjang SD dan akan melanjutkan pendidikan ke jenjang menengah pertama. Sementara siswa di jenjang menengah pertama atau SMP/sederajat yang dinyatakan lulus mencapai 13.800 siswa. (adv)
