Seputar Nusantara – Pemkot Samarinda tengah melakukan pembangunan Teras Tepian Mahakam.
Teras Tepian Mahakam ini nantinya dinilai akan menjadi daya tarik wisata ke Kota Tepian.
Hal itu disamapikan Wakil Ketua DPRD Samarinda, Subandi.
Subandi menyebut, program yang dilakukan Pemkot Samarinda ini tentunya memiliki dampak yang positif terhadap kemajuan, apalagi Samarinda selain sebagai Ibu Kota Provinsi Kaltim juga sebagai salah satu daerah penyangga utama Ibu Kota Negara (IKN).
“Menurut saya penataan kawasan teras Tepian Mahakam itu mempunyai nilai ketertarikan. Ini juga jadi sumber peningkatan ekonomi seiring dengan banyaknya wisatawan dari luar yang datang kesitu,” kata Subandi
Setiap pengunjung yang datang ke situ nanti, kata Subandi, tentu saja disuguhi dengan pemandangan yang indah, seperti bentangan sungai Mahakam yang luas.
“Kawasan tepian Mahakam ini menjadi icon Kota Samarinda, karena tidak semua kota yang dialiri sungai sepanjang dan selebar itu, saya yakin setelah kawasan itu ditata akan semakin indah dan banyak dikunjungi warga,” tuturnya.
Untuk mengoptimalkan penataan kawasan tersebut, Politikus PKS ini menyarankan agar Pemkot Samarinda perlu untuk menjalin kerjasama dengan Pemprov melalui Dinas Pariwisata Provinsi.
“Kalau Pemkot dan Pemprov bersinergi kan penataannya lebih optimal lagi. Karena yang kita harapkan semua kawasan sungai itu diupayakan penataannya lebih maksimal untuk menjadi tempat destinasi wisata,” tegasnya. (adv)
