DPRD Samarinda Sarankan Pemkot Siapkan Fasilitas Penunjang Penerapan UU TPKS
Seputar Nusantara – DPR RI mengesahkan Rancangan Undang-Undang atau RUU tentang Tindak Pidana Kekerasan Seksual (TPKS) dan menjadi Undang-Undang (UU) pada April 2022. Ketua Komisi IV DPRD Samarinda, Sri Puji Astuti, mengucapkan terima kasih atas pengesahan UU TPKS. Sri Puji Astuti menegaskan, UU TPKS akan menjadi landasan hukum utama bagi pembelaan korban kekerasan seksual di Kalimantan Timur (Kaltim), khususnya di Kota Tepian.
Setelah UU TPKS disahkan, Sri Puji Astuti menyatakan bahwa peran pemerintah daerah dan legislatif juga cukup signifikan. Misalnya, menyiapkan berbagai fasilitas pelengkap untuk membantu kelancaran pelaksanaan undang-undang ini. Konstruksi sekarang sedang berlangsung di tempat perlindungan bagi korban kekerasan seksual. Selain itu, Sri Puji Astuti merekomendasikan agar Pemerintah Kota Samarinda dapat mendukung lembaga bantuan hukum dengan membayar visa mereka.
“Pemerintah bisa menyiapkan rumah sakit untuk korban kekerasan seksual. Walau BPJS tidak membiayai, kan bisa dibiayai pemerintah menggunakan APBD Kota Samarinda,” ujar Sri Puji Astuti.
Namun, Sri Puji Astuti menyadari agar UU TPKS bisa berjalan efektif, Pemkot Samarinda tidak bisa berjalan sendiri. Dukungan dari semua pihak sangat dibutuhkan, termasuk dukungan dari masyarakat luas, menurut Sri Puji Astuti.
“Memang pemerintah tidak bisa bekerja sendiri, melainkan harus didukung masyarakat dan pihak terlibat lainnya,” ucap Sri Puji Astuti.
